Security & Communication Verification
Last updated: August 25, 2026
Your security matters to us. This page provides official information about how Moonlit Media LLC communicates with clients, requests information, and processes payments so you can easily verify whether a message you receive is legitimate.
Current Fraud Alert
We are aware of individuals impersonating Moonlit Media LLC and members of our team in an attempt to obtain payments and website login credentials from our clients.
These individuals are not affiliated with Moonlit Media LLC.
The fraudulent messages may use our company name, team members’ names or photographs, information about your website, or other publicly available information to make the communication appear legitimate.
If you receive an unexpected message claiming to be from Moonlit Media LLC, please verify it using the information below before responding, providing information, clicking links, or making a payment.
How to Verify an Email From Moonlit Media LLC
Official Moonlit Media LLC emails are sent from @moonlitmedia.com email addresses.
Our team does not conduct Moonlit Media LLC business using Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook.com, Hotmail, or other free personal email accounts.
Please look at the actual sender’s email address – not simply the display name. A message can display the name of Moonlit Media LLC or one of our team members while actually being sent from an unrelated email address.
Our logo, team photographs, names, email signatures, website information, and other publicly available information can also be copied. Their presence in an email does not verify that the message came from us.
Payments & Invoices
Moonlit Media LLC will never ask you to send payment directly to an individual, employee, contractor, designer, developer, vendor, or other third party on our behalf.
Invoices for Moonlit Media LLC projects and services are issued through our official invoicing system and can be verified through your Moonlit Media LLC client portal.
If you purchase website hosting, domain registration, or related services through our GoDaddy reseller portal, renewal and billing notices for those services may be sent separately through the hosting platform and may not appear in your Moonlit Media LLC client portal.
Legitimate hosting and domain payments will be processed through the authorized reseller platform. We will never instruct you to pay an individual or send hosting or domain renewal payments directly to a person’s bank account.
If you are unsure whether an invoice, hosting renewal, domain renewal, or other payment request is legitimate, please contact us at [email protected] before making payment.
Usernames, Passwords & Account Access
Never provide a username, password, verification code, or other sensitive account credential in response to an unexpected email claiming to be from Moonlit Media LLC.
There may be occasions during a legitimate project or support request when our team needs access to a website, hosting account, domain provider, or third-party service. When access is required, it will be coordinated as part of an established project or support request.
If you receive an unexpected request for credentials, contact us separately before providing them.
If You Receive a Suspicious Message
If you receive an email, payment request, or credential request claiming to be from Moonlit Media LLC that you are unsure about:
- Do not reply to the suspicious message.
- Do not click links or open attachments.
- Do not provide usernames, passwords, verification codes, or other account information.
- Do not send payment.
- Forward the original message to [email protected].
- Verify the request using an @moonlitmedia.com email address you already know, your Moonlit Media LLC client portal, or the contact information published directly on moonlitmedia.com.
If you have already provided a password or other login credential, change it immediately. If that password was reused for other accounts, change it on those accounts as well and contact our team so we can help determine whether additional steps should be taken regarding your website.
If you have already sent money in response to a fraudulent request, contact your bank, credit card company, or payment provider’s fraud department immediately.
Our Commitment to Client Security
Moonlit Media LLC takes reports of impersonation and fraudulent activity seriously. We document reports received from our clients and report fraudulent activity to the appropriate service providers, financial institutions, and law enforcement agencies when applicable.
At this time, we have no indication that Moonlit Media LLC’s email accounts, client portal, or internal systems have been compromised. The fraudulent communications reported to us have involved third parties impersonating our company using unauthorized email addresses and publicly available information.
When in doubt, please verify before taking action.
