Primary Logo
Your logo is just one component of your brand kit, but as it’s an important one, we are starting this helpful series there. Your logo represents you as a business. This is why it’s important to have a logo that is visually stunning. When someone sees your logo, they should immediately react and recognize the colors, fonts and design that represent your business.
By creating multiple versions of your logo, you can uplevel your brand while keeping your brand consistent across all platforms and media. At Moonlit Media, we offer 2 types of logo design packages: “Standard” and “Detailed”.
- Standard: A standard logo is a logo that is an icon, text, and tagline (if necessary). This is the logo you will most likely use to represent your brand. It’s often found embedded into social media posts, watermarked images, and used for trademark registration.
- Detailed: A detailed logo is essentially your standard logo with more detail added. Detailed logos take more time to create because it can be challenging to think of new ways to represent your business while changing the shape and layout to fit a variety of platforms. We also create a variety of logos and are happy to discuss which ones will best meet your need. This includes:
Icon (aka “Logomark”): This is a visual representation of your brand. Examples of a logomark or icon include: The Nike Swoosh, the Apple icon, the Twitter bird, and the golden arches of McDonald’s.
Submark(s)
Moonlit Media is proud to offer submark services to our clients. Submarks are a third variety of your logo that may include only an image or only text. They are often used on social media, email footers, website footers and more.
Logo Formats
In most cases, you will receive several versions file version of your primary logo. This ensures that your branding is flexible enough to fit multiple formats as you grow. Should you require special printing services, you can easily hand your printer the file format that they require. Generally, these include:

Logo Variations (Secondary Logos)
Moonlit Media always provides a primary logo and we are happy to provide additional (secondary) logos upon request. Your Secondary logo is generally your primary logo in a new orientation. This may mean if your logo is horizontal and more rectangular, we will design a logo that includes this information in a circular or square format.
